Thousands of years ago when nature still sang unspoilt melodies and the only light came from the sky, the Sumerian people worshipped Ninkasi, the beautiful goddess of beer. Her knowledge of the positive effects of beer on the skin, hair and nails has been passed down through generations and now forms an integral component of the Ninkasi® natural bodycare product line.
These Ninkasi® products are based on the nutrients and ingredients found in beer. They provide the skin, hair and nails with a natural source of B vitamins and minerals. The Locher Brewery in Appenzell supplies the raw materials – Full Moon beer, hop extract, barley extract, malt extract and yeast – which are all organically certified in Switzerland. To these are added various natural ingredients, e.g. plant oils, fats, plant extracts, essential oils and scents from controlled organic cultivation or collection from the wild.
In addition to the careful selection of the plant-based raw materials, we also focus on dermatological tolerability and ecological sustainability. All products in the Ninkasi® line are NaTrue-certified. This guarantees that the bodycare line meets the highest requirements of modern, natural and outstandingly skin-friendly care.
